The LACA Events and Awards are an important part of our wish to promote our industry and to recognise the success of our members.
The Awards are presented at the annual conference and are the highlight of the gala dinner. They recognise significant input and the professionalism of our sector. They raise the profile of individuals and local authority catering.
Our events are now recognised in the industry as calendar dates not to be missed. The media are also showing increased awareness and interest in National School Meals Week (NSMW) and School Chef of the Year (SCOTY). Both these events are marking their 10th anniversary during the next 12 months and we hope as many local authorities as possible will take part.
The 2008 NACC National Conference & Exhibition will take place on 11-12th September, at The Hilton Birmingham Metropole.
For details on exhibiting at the 2008 NACC Catercare Exhibition call Paul Davis on 01293 851869.

The Society will be holding another Mock Trial at which an actual case will be used to provide delegates with a chance to watch, learn, and at the end, to give their own verdict on the outcome. By holding Mock Trials, SOFHT is providing you with an opportunity to see at first-hand how the process works and how Barristers can question representatives from both sides.
Allergies affect thousands of people each year and with 2% of the population suffering with food allergies it is essential that food safety professionals are well trained and knowledgeable about all aspects of food allergy legislation, guidance, symptoms and treatment.
