New Year Update
Don't worry I have a current CRB! Also, if you are concerned about the non compliant school food, the picture was taken in Desoto County, near Memphis on my recent trip to the USA to look at the school food service there. Suffice to say, they do things quite differently there although the challenges we all face are very similar. More about my trip in other publications.
So, what does 2012 have in store for us? Much the same as 2011 possibly? We should see the outcome of the Universal Credit discussions later in the year and the food standards in academy schools issue will continue to rumble on. Budgets will get tighter and the economic outlook is unlikley to get any better. so, is there any good news? Well, school food remains high on the agenda and the link between health and well being and food is begining to be more recognised in some quarters. LACA continues to be the voice of the industry and is being seen as more influential as we take a part in all these major debates.
Look out for the next LACA event taking place in Warwickshire on 17th February and I hope to see many of you there.
