The Local Authority Caterers’ Association (LACA) scooped the Blue Ribband Award at last night’s glittering Cost Sector Catering awards ceremony.
The judging panel recognised the many challenges LACA is faced with each year – one of them being the task of serving in the region of 570 million customers under its auspices.
Sandra Russell, Chair of LACA, commented on the award: "It has come as a complete surprise, I am so proud of all the people in the industry that have contributed over the 18 years to develop an association that has been recognised for the great effort in providing school meals in the UK."
