Great British Bake Off Quarter Finalist stirs up recipes with Cucina Restaurants for Children In Need.

28 Oct 2014

Bake Off favourite, Martha Collison, has designed five of her own cakes and treats, which will be baked and served to more than 50,000 school students at Cucina school restaurants across the UK.

Cucina, the contract catering specialists for education, will be baking a different Martha recipe each day at 47 schools from November 10th to November 14th, with 10p from every sale going to Children In Need. Recipes can also be bought for 20p, with all the money going to charity.

Martha, a year 13 student, said: “It was great to bake with the chefs at Cucina for such a brilliant cause as Children in Need. I’ve had a fantastic time.”

The five creations Martha has whipped up are: Sticky Toffee Cupcakes, Raspberry and White Chocolate Blondies, Lemon Drizzle Cupcakes, Salted Caramel Brownies and Smartie Cookies.

Cucina Executive Chef Andy Wilcock said: “It’s been a pleasure working with Martha - she really stood out on the Bake Off with her love of food as well as her willingness to take risks and try new things. She is a very inspirational young woman with a fantastic future ahead of her.”
