Innovate Services launches into primary school catering market

18 Sep 2014

School catering company Innovate Services has launched into the primary school catering market this September term, having secured new contracts to transform the school meals experience at several primary schools across the UK.

Innovate’s brand new ‘Innovate 4 Little People’ service has been designed to provide a complete catering service to primary schools, which require support in delivering Universal Infant Free School Meals.

Innovate 4 Little People is designed for primary schools of all sizes, from those with no kitchen facilities through to larger sites.   The fully catered service delivers freshly cooked, seasonal food to the school or can cook on site, depending on the in-school facilities.

The service also delivers the advantage of providing ‘pack away’ dining room facilities and the food is served at ready-laid tables that include plates, cutlery, water, salad crudités and bread rolls. Like Innovate’s secondary school service, the food is never chilled or frozen and provides the maximum nutritional benefit that meets the government’s Nutritional Standards.

Commenting on the Innovate 4 Little People launch, Derick Martin, CEO of Innovate Services said: “September sees the launch of Innovate 4 Little People into a number of primary schools across the UK. Innovate has become known for its innovative approach to school catering in the secondary school and college space, and with the introduction of this new service, we are committed to  extending our popular and successful approach to primary schools.

“Our new service is a fully-catered model that not only provides children with a real ‘dining experience’ with freshly prepared, seasonal produce, but we’ve also launched an online ordering service that means parents can pre-book the meals that they want for their children in advance.”
