Viewers can expect top tips on setting up their kitchen to cater for gluten-free, get some great recipe ideas, and learn from the experts at Coeliac UK what coeliac disease really is.

Leon Mills, Knorr marketing manager, said: "While there’s been a widespread improvement on the gluten-free food available to eat out of home, 28% of operators still don’t offer gluten-free menu items.

"It’s estimated that the catering industry is missing out on £100 million from people with coeliac disease and those they eat out with."

Other activity happening throughout the week includes a gluten-free roundtable on Monday 9 May, a pop-up restaurant at Unilever office on Wednesday 11 May and a Twitter Thunderclap to raise money for Coeliac UK on Friday 13 May.

Knorr will donate £1 to Coeliac UK on behalf of everyone that supports its Thunderclap. It just takes one simple click and it won’t cost supporters a penny. Pledge your support here.

Mills added: "As awareness of coeliac disease grows, it’s not an issue we can ignore. With all the attention on Coeliac UK Awareness Week, it’s the perfect time to discover just how simple gluten-free can be – and how it can boost sales.”
