LACA announces passing of Sheelagh Rutherford

It is with great sadness we have recently been made aware that Sheelagh Rutherford has passed away.
Sheelagh was head of service at Knowsley Council, and was a very active member of LACA acting as regional chair for the North West for many years.
Sheelagh previously represented the region on the National Executive Council (NEC) now referenced as the Board of Directors, from 1994 to 2009, 15 years in total.
Sheelagh always made a very positive contribution to the work of LACA both nationally and within her own very successful region, and always had a very good sense of humour.
Our heartfelt thanks and thoughts now go to her family and friends during this difficult time.
