LACA chair gets running shoes out for charity

12 Feb 2016

LACA chair Peter McGrath has signed up to run 100km around the different LACA regions to raise money for his chosen charity ‘Filling the Holiday Gap’.

He has already completed three runs – in South Wales, the South East and Nottingham – with dates in the diary for Northern Ireland, Salford, the South West and London scheduled for later this month and into March.

His date for a run in Scotland has still to be finalised.

In return for his commitment to clocking up 100kn throughout the UK, he is asking for sponsorship.

“Please support this great cause, because every penny counts and all monies raised will help fund food and staffing for many ‘Filling the Holiday Gap’ summer provision projects,” he says.

The charity – which has a website www.fillingtheholidaygap.org – aims to raise money, ‘to ensure no child goes hungry during the school holidays’.
