Aimia Foods launches school competition to aid caterers’ sales

30 Oct 2014

School caterer Aimia Foods has launched a competition for its Zing drinkers to encourage sales in school canteens. The competition was launched across social media to connect with its pupils on platforms they are familiar with. Pupils who buy a can of Zing could win a Kindle Fire HD each week and also be in with the chance to win a PlayStation 4 in a grand draw from now until November 21st.

Karen Green, brand manager for Zing at Aimia Foods, said: “As a food and drink supplier, with a dedicated education range and development programme, we are keen to help the school caterer by making products that pupils will love supported by marketing promotions and POS that work hard to attract sales.

She added: “It’s a hectic time for school caterers, but it’s important to remember that high school pupils are consumers too and they need to enjoy break times with products that give them the opportunity to have fun.  Launching an up-to-date competition mechanic with great prizes, is the perfect opportunity to help older children and teenagers develop, and drive interest back into the canteen environment.”

The school juice drink, Zing, was styled with the help of 100 teenagers to appeal to a teen market as well as appeasing the health concerns of adults too.
