Dalila Christopher is first SCoTY 2013 finalist

The first regional heat of LACA’s 2013 School Chef of the Year (SCoTY) competition has taken place, with Dalila Christopher being named the winner of the London Region heat and claiming the first spot in the final.

Dalila works for contractor Chartwells, part of the Compass Group, at St Stephens C of E Primary School in the London Borough of Lewisham.

Mark Orr, who works for contractor Caterlink at Bishop Grant High School in the London Borough of Lambeth won the award for Highly Commended Main Course.

The Highly Commended Dessert award went to Shaun Lavender, who works for ISS Education at Highams Park High School in the London Borough of Waltham Forest.

The other regional finalist in the heat that took place at Lewisham College was Tracy Hester of Caterlink, who works at The Bridge Academy in the London Borough of Islington.

The SCoTY 2013 final will take place on May 22 at the Defence Services School, Worthy Down.
