HCL strengthens leadership team to help fuel growth strategy

HCL’s five-year plan is focused on expanding its school meal service across the south of England. The education contract caterer believes every child deserves a delicious, nutritious meal for lunch and they are proud of the high-quality service and food standards it provides for its clients and children.
Andrew Sugden, previously head of food, procurement and IT, has been promoted to operations director. He has been with HCL for 15 years bringing a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of HCL's operational intricacies to his new role. HCL says his promotion underscores their commitment to recognising and developing internal talent.
Beth Langley has joined HCL as commercial director. She brings significant experience in directly managing sales and marketing teams, driving sales growth and tender excellence across Europe for major coffee brands, including Nespresso. HCL says her expertise in product development, operational alignment, and the contract catering and foodservice channels will be invaluable.
John Want, chief executive of HCL, commented: "Andrew's promotion to operations director is a testament to his dedication and expertise gained over 15 years with HCL. His deep understanding of our operations will be invaluable as we execute our ambitious growth plans.
"We are also delighted to welcome Beth Langley as our new commercial director. Her extensive experience in delivering sales growth will be instrumental in expanding our market presence and achieving our goal of doubling our meal numbers in the next five years.”
