LACA chair to address school food plan forum

12 Mar 2013

LACA chair Anne Bull is to speak at a one-day event called The New School Food Plan: Healthy Children, Healthy Minds which takes place at The Royal Society for Medicine in London on March 21st

The one-day forum, which runs from 9am until 4.10pm will also be addressed by former LACA chair Lynda Mitchell and Gerry Clinton, Catering & Traded Services Manager for the London Borough of Havering.

Organisers say the forum will give delegates the opportunity to discuss future challenges facing schools and local authorities in providing healthy school meals and the implications of the new school food plan.

Sessions will look at the impact of the nutrient-based standards and how schools and local authorities can continue to tackle childhood obesity and health inequalities.

Bringing together senior representatives from across a range of sectors this forum will enable delegates to discuss how best to work together to improve school meals in the UK.
