Red House Foods equine DNA testing statement

28 Feb 2013

All ingredients of beef origin have been tested for equine DNA and were confirmed clear. In addition to the DNA testing, we also contracted an accredited lab to carry out further testing on our chicken, beef and pork products to confirm the species of meat and to ensure that no cross contamination has occurred within the supply chain, we are reassured by our results and we hope you will be.

To ensure you always get the best we only buy choice cuts of meat and poultry, sourced from UK farms which is prepared by us, in our factory.

It may be a bit more expensive to buy quality meat, and a bit more time consuming to prepare it, but here at Red House Foods we like to know exactly what goes in to our products. That way you can be sure that when you or your customers eat our products you will not only enjoy their superb taste but be reassured that we have used high quality ingredients.

We only use fully traceable British chicken breast in all our chicken products which we prepare on site without the use of additives, preservatives or water. This way we can be sure that we maintain the best quality.

We only use British beef which is fully traceable to show that it has been reared and slaughtered in the UK. Our select cuts of British beef are then prepared and minced on site before we turn it into our amazing ragu sauce.

We can trace all our meat back to the abattoir they were slaughtered at and for added peace of mind, we regularly carry out tests to confirm that this remains the case.

Uncompromisingly Gluten Free - we take great care with our meat just like we take care to maintain our gluten free environment. We are a dedicated gluten free facility in the heart of Wiltshire making only gluten free food so you can be sure of what you eat when you choose our products.
