SUSO supports Meals & More’s Big Day Out charity partnership

27 May 2025
School-approved soft drinks brand SUSO is helping to bring extra joy to over 100 children across England by supporting three of Meals & More’s special outings with trips to Twinlakes Park in Melton Mowbray, Gulliver’s Kingdom Resort in Matlock Bath and Newquay Zoo.

Big Days Out offer a chance for children and young adults to enjoy day trips packed with fun, food and friendship, as part of Meals & More’s wider mission to transform school holidays for UK children living with food poverty and isolation. Through trusted community partners Meals & More provide them with nutritious meals and enriching activities.

Nelly Edwards, commercial manager at SUSO, said: “These trips have the power to make a real impact for many children. We’re incredibly proud of our long-standing partnership with Meals & More and we’ve seen what a difference our funding has made to the holiday clubs we have helped support.

“The Big Days Out trips mean so much for many children and by coming along on the trips, supporting them with additional financial support, drinks goody bags and branded merchandise, we can help provide happy memories, which is real privilege.”

SUSO, a school-approved canned carbonated soft drink made from 60% fruit juices and fizzy water, pledged their support for Meals & More in early 2023. Meals & More provides critical support to children living with food insecurity and limited access to activities during the holidays.

Peter McGrath, operations director, at Meals & More, added: “SUSO’s kind contribution to our Big Days Out programme means over 130 will children get to experience something special this summer. For them, knowing they have something fun to enjoy during the holidays really does make all the difference.

“The families we support tell us that, especially with the ongoing cost of living crisis, being able to afford days out like these just isn’t possible. That’s why experiences like this are so special for the children — and why we’re committed to working together to make them happen."
